To foster a deeper understanding of numerous animal protection issues, the legislative and regulatory process, and the work at the Humane Society Legislative Fund (HSLF) while receiving job training and an educational experience.

Special Skills Needed For This Opportunity

Strong intern applicants have a passion for making a difference in the lives of animals and meet the following requirements:

  • Strong interest in animal protection
  • Must be a second- or third-year law student with superior legal research and writing skills
  • Must be knowledgeable of and thoroughly experienced with online legal research tools such as Lexis and Westlaw research systems and be proficient in Microsoft Word and Excel
  • Strong communication skills and fluency in English
  • Preferably have a background in administrative law, environmental law, or animal law
